every aspect of it. I like picking growing buying deciding everything about all the steps. I think I should have been a pioneer. Today everyone of my jars sealed the first time around. For those that do canning you know this a good thing. Now I can just sit and smile at my jars on the table
Oh, in case you didn't know its Antipasto.
It looks great - save me one please.....I'll be up to get it next summer I hope.
ReplyDeleteI have made Jelly before. Ilove how it makes the house smell when your making it. I have never made a tomatoe based product. for some reason I am afraid it will get botulism. lol. do you boil the jars first, then put them in the oven?? i have never seen this method of sterilizing.
ReplyDeleteI wash then pour boiling water into the jars. Then I put them in the oven to keep warm and further sterlilize them till ready to add the stuff. I also process the jars in the oven rather then the boiling water method. Learned it from my mommy and we both have never died yet... I also can salsa this way.
ReplyDeleteAll I can say is: YUUUMMMM!
ReplyDeleteThat looks way to much like work. Buying it in the supermarket seems so much easier. My mom canned everything from jelly to veg when we were kids and I love eating it through the long cold winter!
ReplyDeletePickle on dudett! Amber raises her hands in a peace sign!
