Guess what I got

I am so happy I have a new waffle iron. The waffles cook in 3 minutes on the 4 1/2 setting. My old waffle iron took 14 minutes per waffle so I would have to stand around for over 2 hours making waffles. I bet your thinking that is one fine expensive looking maker... Well guess what?? Like just about everything I own it came from a garage sale for only $5 Cdn that would be about $4.75US and $5.65 Aussie dollar. And there was a proclamation threw out the land let them eat waffles and let them eat them quick. Over three happy customers served and a bag in the freezer to boot.

tell me is that one handsome dude or what? Last night was our eldest grad dinner and dance. When I went to school after the dinner and dance we all went to the river and got pie eye's and there were usually a fatal accident the following morning. I am so glad those days are gone. After the dance the had a dry-grad location set up. It was fully chaperoned and very well run. This year the theme was Casino Royale. All the grads and there dates were given $1600 in fake gaming chips and the place was set up and decorated like a casino. There were a number of bands playing and all the food and entertainment was free. HTD ended the night with $40,000 with which he could purchase all kinds of prizes. The event ended at five Am this morning. I still didn't sleep last night not having my baby tucked in his bed but I'm sure it would have been alot worse if I had to worry about all the things that I had been up to on my grad weekend..

my friend "creepy"

That is his new name. I think he kind of grows on you. There is something about him that makes me chuckle and smile. I think I am going to have him as my new mascot. Maybe I can get him some new virtual clothes. He told me he's getting tired of the same colour bandanna. and before ms perfect em comments on the spelling of colour that is the Canadian way ey! I wonder if I can get him some friends and accessories.

Sorry about the downer post of the other day I guess I was tired and PMS'ing. Maybe its the whole busy end of the school year thing or having my oldest graduate. Or that we are at the end of June and freezing our buts off with cool temperatures and endless rain. Where is summer gone? I love the heat and the sun.

Happy Trails to you until we blog again and thank you MoonFlayke for visiting my page. The more the merrier.

Well, not sure where to begin. I feel like I am talking to myself here. Maybe if I had more readers or sponsers I could post more here. I am hoping that these blogs are saved somewhere in case in the future I will have my memoirs to sell to the publishing world. All I can say that I am very tired and have had a very busy month. I also haven't been that happy which is unusual for me. Generally I am a very upbeat and happy person but have been in a funk lately. And on that note I have not much else to say.

Well folks here is what I've been up to lately. See the picture of the big one in the middle will that's my baby Harrison. I can't believe he is finished high school, where have all the years gone? I've never thought of myself as a weepy kind of person but boy it makes me want to cry thinking about him all grown up. We are so proud of him. Not only did he finish a year early, he is only 16 but he graduated with honours. Which brings up another issue that kind of ticks me off. He had the highest mark in the school in Math 12 97% This was the highest grade the teacher had ever given out. He gets a stupid math book as an award. Where are the scholarships and bursary's for this kind of thing. It costs lots of money for post secondary education and there should be funds for top students. Not knocking sewing or anything but another girl got $1000 for sewing a quilt.

Happy weekend its cold and wet here.

Wow, now I am being nagged online..lol post a blog entry, where's your blog entry, time for a new blog entry yadayadayada....just kidding I know I am seriously lacking in the writing department. My only excuse is the weather turned nice and I am a total hot weather sunny kind of person. In fact if its sunny and nice out I feel guilty being in the house. I will even go sit in an uncomfortable chair outside to read just because I feel I should be taking advantage of the good weather. Now with all that hot weather we had, we are threatened by a flood, and are under high flood alert. Extreme hot temps and the current rain combined with record snowpack levels are bringing our rivers up to full dyke condtions. Behind our house the water is only up to the third stair of 16. A couple weeks ago we put a long stick in the river to keep an eye on the height. The stick went from 0 feet to over 4 feet since Saturday.

On another note yesterday was hubby and I's 24 wedding anniversary. Of course being the romantic rock he is we did absolutely nothing and I recieved the same...

till next time thats all for now....
