Entry for January 31, 2007

Stargate log last day of January07. I don't know why whenever I think of blogging I think of William Shatner in the old Star Trek series. That is the only spacey show I have ever watched. I went to see I believe, might have been the first Star Trek movie at the theatre back in the 80's and fell asleep. My claim to fame today is I also have never seen one of the Star Wars movies. If the motion picture industry was counting on me for their bottom line I think they would be filing many chapters long ago. Harry and I have a theory if we don't go to the movie theatre or rent DVD'snow, when we are old and have nothing better to do we can catch up on all the old classics and Oscar winners.

So here is a poll for all you pollsters and no cheating.

and yet again I am sitting here. This time however I am enjoying my first cup of coffee while the rest of the house are all snug in their beds. Dreaming of whatever they are dreaming of. This is my favourite time of the day, when I am the only one up and the house is all quiet except for the tapping of keys and slurping of coffee. j/k I don't slurp. The only thing missing is the invisible maid to bring me a refill. How I wish I had been born into a life of leisure. Carol Hilton that sounds like a nice name. How about Carol Gates, I like the sound of that one even better, except why my Bill chooses to live in cold and wet all year Seattle is beyond me. I would be off buying my own island somewhere warm with natives fanning me with palms and popping tropical fruit pieces in my mouth. Ahhh too dream the impossible dream....everyone sing now....But not on Idol unless you really have talent or like being abused....

Here I sit killing time so I can pick Harrison up from work. What I really want right now is to mix a yummy rum cocktail. Not sure if its spelled cocktale. This picking the kid up at work thing is driving me nuts. He never gets out ontime, yesterday I sat and waited in the car for half an hour. I think management is taking advantage of the young workers there.

It is still freezing cold here. Harry made an icerink on the driveway and the kids have been skating on it. I think I fell asleep and woke up on the prairies. I need a tropical vacation, but alas dear Em has left without me again.....sigh... well that did in about 4 minutes still have over an hour to wait. I can hear the ice clinking in the glass and the glub glub of the liquor being poured..........

How the time flies. It's already well into the New Year and I have yet to post a blog entry.

We just recieved another blast from old man winter. I think he has his east and west coast's mixed up as we aren't the ones that usualy receive the crappy weather. I think I heard on the news last night that we have had 14 storms in the past month and a half. Luckily with this last storm we didn't lose our power. I guess all the trees that were going to fall on power lines did so in the first 13 storms. Which brings me to thinking. Why don't they move the services underground? It would be alot more asthetically apearing. Get rid of the dizzy array of lines crossing over the road. I guess people wouldn't have anywhere to leave their 6 month old yard sale signs stapled up. No stop poles for drunk drivers swerving off the road. Where would all the birds meet at the crack of down to raise a noisy ruckus. Well that's about all I'm good for today. Off to get some coffee.
