Well its definitely cold and wet here this morning. I guess I will drive the kids to school today. We have been able to walk since school started. I hate driving to the schools, there is so much traffic. I see people driving that live right next to the school practically. I would think it would be more work getting in your car starting it up and driving for 2 minutes. The boys school is close enough to walk in the rain but Nevada's school is a 20 minute walk on the best of days. The schools here weren't designed and built for people driving either. The conjestion in the drop off areas are terrible. There also is barely no onsite parking. People at the elementary park down the side of the road blocking the pedestrian traffic. Last year I took my digital camera and took pictures of everyone blocking the sidewalk. I kept taking pictures untill they all drove away and parked farther down the street. What is this teaching kids? Lazyness is what. Park as close as you can to the door so you don' t have to walk an extra foot. Be damned if you are going to make it safer for the kids to walk home...

Are you frugal, or stingy?
Having to defend myself on numerous occasions I decided to do a little research. Well actually I just happened to see this on the front of MSN today and it caught my thrifty little eye.

Well the first week of school has passed us by and the kids are happy with their teachers and classrooms.
How time flies, I can't believe how life is just zinging by. I remember my oldest first day of school and this year he is graduating. He will be 16 this month and getting his driver's licence. Today he has a job interview. When people tell you to enjoy your kids they won't be with you forever it is certainly true. Every accomplishment you are waiting for the next milestone. Too darn quick though they are all grown up. I think I will put my youngest in a box and keep her 6 for years to come...

Well two more days and the kids are back at school. Where did the summer go? This is a big school year for the kids. Harrison will be graduating this year with no idea what he wants to do in the future. Kaikoa is starting middle-school, and little Nevada is going into GR. 1.
I wish we had a winter holiday planned I want to go and lie on a white sandy beach this winter and do nothing. But all our time and resourses have been going into the renovation. I tell ya this is the last time we will take on a project this big.
Hope everyone is enjoying their labour day weekend; all two of you that read my blog...lol
