Entry for July 28, 2007
My trees I just love them. I couldn't have a yard or house with no trees. Well the one large oak tree is in the neighbors yard. I can't believe when people cut down beautiful majestic trees. There should be a law against that. There have been new subdivisions going up all over here and the first thing they do is raze the land and scrape away every living thing. Well besides the trees I have been busy busy busy. It's summer and with the kids home and all the reno work we have been doing on the house I haven't had much play time. I did get to go camping on the only rainy week we had here. But we put up tarps and just drank more alcohol... Hope everyone is having a good summer

I am so sneaky
and very proud of it. Anyone with kids or that had them can tell you about how the juice is drank as fast as you make it and the empty jug is always put back in the fridge. Like what is with that, if you finish off the juice don't return the empty container to the fridge. It isn't going to magically refill itself in there. Unless of course you have one of those magic fridges. Their other favourite trick is to leave barely a swallow left in the container then they figure they can't be held responsible for the empty jug. Now I don't mind making the juice but I hate going and attempting to pour a glass and not having any cold juice to drink. Well let me tell you how I fooled my kids. For the last week I only kept water in the juice jug. The container is solid coloured and you can't tell whats in there. Well by the end of this week they just assumed that the jug just held water and quit going to it. hahahaha I have had juice in there since yesterday morning... I have drank a few glasses when they are not around and then quickly rinse the glass out so they don't see it. There is nothing so refreshing as a tall cold glass of juice. Who knew how so little could make me so happy. I take pleasure in the simplest things... So cheers to my cold juice, long may it last hidden in plain site .
