Birthday Boys

Been a busy, busy bee this week with both our boys birthday's back to back.  My mom's birthday is today and my best friends bd is on Friday.   I don't think I can look at another piece of cake.  I think I put on a few pounds too.

Kaikoa was 14 on Monday.  He had 7-14 yr old boys over and man were they noisy.  They all loved to sing and sing loud. They were playing  Guitar Hero which was a good thing cause at least I loved what they were singing.   4 large pizza's,  nacho's and dip,  meat, cheese, pickle and cracker tray,  too many bags of chips to count, 4 -2 litre bottles of soda and a large icecream cake later the house was still.  But no, there was no rest for the wicked...I had to wait up till 11 to pick Harrison up from work.
Harrison was 18 on Tuesday.  We picked him up from school and all went out for a nice family dinner. (loved the no cooking part).  The restaurant was fabulous and the food was to die for.  The waitress's sang happy birthday to the boys and gave them each an individual cake.  Oma had made a Black Forrest Cake for Harrison but we were too full to eat it when we got home.
So that in a nutshell is the past two days.

I know what you mean about back to back birthdays! My two boys were born December 1th and 13th! Then I have Christmas the same month! ~sigh~

  3. I used to kow a lady that was of german heritage that called her gramma Oma. my two boys were both in October, six days apart. that is a lot of Bday cake going around. dont worry about those few pounds from the cake if you have any. b day cake only leaves love pounds. and that always looks good.
