rag baby quilt




I made this quilt for my niece Quincey. She is having a baby boy in December. This is my first attempt at this type of quilting.

  4. I like the browns in there. Not a whole lot, but enough to catch the eye. I have heard babies like this, it makes them focus, or something, im not sure. OH WOW! I just looked at the fabric againa dn realised you have four different kinds. I like this.

  9. Really? I have never thougth of using this type of cutter for fabric? how do they work? Fiskars is a very good brand.

  16. that is what you need those kind of scissors for. The cutting actually took about 6 or 7 hours..

  17. All three layers and I think it ended up about 32x40. I would have liked it bigger but didn't have enough material. The squares were cut 5 inches and the seam allowance was a half inch.

  18. with the darker back I had to delint after the drying so you might want to think about that.
