So onto stuff, well winter is upon us. No snow yet but plenty of rain. We have the palm tree wrapped as well as our other semi-tropical plants and hope for the best they survive the winter.
Hubby is gone to Thailand to get some dental work done and check our accommodations for our upcoming trip in the new year. The price of the flight and all the dental work is cheaper then what he would pay here for one root canal and crown.
So after Nevada and I drop him off at the airport we head to IKEA which happens to be like 5 minutes down the road. We wander through the store for what seems like hours and end up buying only two packs of whiteboard markers. There was absolutely nothing there that caught my eye. Not a napkin, not a plate, not a candle, not a chair absolutely nothing nada zip.
So we decided to head to a larger mall on the way home. Same thing happens again we can't find anything . We ended up buying a couple pack of iron-on stickers for t-shirts. Big city outing and we come home with under $10 bucks worth of stuff
With the Hairball gone right now I guess that leaves me to put the xmas lights up outside by myself. After the cleaning gutter experience I figure the lights are all going to be about 5'6" off the ground at most

How could you not fiind anything you liked at Ikea.....my goodness..........if nothing else, I would have figured those 1.99 picture frames........
ReplyDeleteMaybe you just weren't in the right nood. Hopefully Hairball got there OK. As for the lights - I don't do ladders so mine will be on the inside of the big front window this year.....maybe I should go to Ikea and see what they have (you DID check out the Christmas decoration dept, didn't you).
I watched each couple do their final dance and right about then was when I caught on that Donny was going to win no matter what - he's got such a monster fan base anyhow. So, I didn't see him sing Puppy Love, which is a shame because like you - I knew the words to everything Donny ever sang back then.
He's aged pretty well all things considered......

ReplyDeleteI'm just laughing imagining a house decorated in lights less than 6 feet off the ground. ha! I used to decorate my office for Halloween at my old workplace. My co-workers would walk in and complain that my spiderwebs were hung too low. Something that goes over my head smacks most other people in the face!
ReplyDeleteI find it strange that he can fly to thialand and get dental work done chaeper than at home. strange. maybe I should look into this. I need two crowns for implants and some serious work in the beginning of next year.
ReplyDeleteI was happy Donny won. Mya was a good dancer, but Donny was also good and he had to really work hard. he was a lot more fun to watch, as far as being entertaining.
I wish we had an Ikea close. its two hours away and I just wont travel that far to shop.
We have an IKEA, but I've never been there, I know it's by the airport...I'd have to take the yellow train over there....what's the point????

It rained here in buckets all of Thanksgiving day...We couldn't even go outside....oh well...food was here anyway....
Oh yea! I went to the doctor's office and told him that I wish the food stamps would come later in the month in November and December, because by the time Thanksgiving and Christmas come, there's no money for food left.....When I was checking out, the receptionist hands me an envelope. Tells me that the doctor wanted me to have it. Puzzled I asked what it was for, she said that I shouldn't open it right now, wait until later... . On the bus home, I opened it....$40....Needless to say, we had Thanksgiving dinner!!!!! Another thiing to be thankful for....
