Nevada's Award

I am so proud of my little Nevy.
I didn't tell her she was getting it so it was a complete surprise to her. The award was for the top student of her class.  She won the same award in Kindergarten.  I had a picture of her at the awards ceremony but they had the lights in the gym so dimmed that you couldn't make anything out.  They did the primary grades first so she was one of the first kids up on stage.  Then I was a bad person and ducked out the door and went grocery shopping instead of sitting through the next 2 1/2 hours.  I did plan ahead and sat in an aisle seat right by the door.  On the plus side it's only 1:30 and I am done all my chores for the day and only have to go watch the kids in their triathlon this afternoon.

  5. Great Job Nevi! that is quite a task. Some day you will be in eternal college like your Aunti Em and trying for that same top of the class student. Great Job!

  8. thanks peeps it is a real honour for her to have won it twice as they only let kids get it once in their primary years which I think is pretty lame...

  9. I am so proud of her, (and her Mom). Congratulations for both of you!!! (Carol, you deserve a hands-up too for this, never deny that you did what a mother is supposed to be doing, helping their children in school!)
