Crazy day here in the wild kingdom

I have had the most strange encounters today with creatures of the wild. This morning after I dropped Harrison off at school a huge coyote ran across the road in front of me.  There were 7 lanes of quite busy traffic and it managed to avoid it all.  Then I was on my way home from grocery shopping and seen the hugest dead raccoon laying on the road.  I guess he wasn't as quick as the coyote.  Later after lunch Harry and I went out to look at some hedging ceders and on the way home we saw a cat attack a chihuahua.  A lady was pushing her baby in a stroller and walking her dog when out of no where a cat leaped on the dog and the lady had to pick the dog up. I am wondering if there is some hidden meaning behind these weird encounters.  Maybe the hot weather caused it all.

  1. Hmmmmm......I do wish you'd gotten a picture of the cat attacking the chihuahua.....that would have made me laugh...(bad Em).

As for the rest - I've never seen a coyote except in a zoo - so its another reason I'll have to come visit.

  6. addendum to the wild animal day... Yesterday the neighbors cat attacked Nevada and scratched her hand so she went to kick it and it attacked her foot. So then Nevada picked up a stick and chased it out of the yard and came into the house crying...

  7. the cat came into the house crying? well, maybe nevi shouldnt go around beating up the neighbers cat. maybe if her mom would get the snake off her page the cat wouldnt come crying into your house.

And the coyotes got so brave this winter they ventured down town to the mall...and even I dont go to the mall! Hubby and I were wondering what was up with all hte animal activity...and then today..the neighbors little toy poodle got out and our jack russell got to exert herself. LOL I personally think there is somethingin the air.
