love that song. Started to sing it this morning to get "deep in the heart of Texas' off my mind from Stonegirl's blog. Now I am crossing the lyrics...thinking of driving into Texas very fast with AC/DC blasting in the background.
Tonite's the big night for Nevada. Last night she woke with a tummy ache, I think the pressure is getting to her. Maybe I shouldn't have her practicing 8 hours a day. With only tiny breaks for sips of water and finger exercises. Kids these days have no work ethic.
Last shift of the early morning drive. I like being up when the rest of the world sleeps its so peaceful and quiet. Did you know birds start chirping when it is still dark out? I think they are trying to find each other in the dark. Hey honey chirp chirp where are you chirp chirp. I think I heard a worm over by the plum tree chirp chirp. Make sure you clean the nest before you leave chirp chirp. Watch out for the cat chirp chirp....
Ok, enough of that nonsense. On to the more serious issue of my coffee maker is dripping much too slow. I did the vinegar thing over and over and it still takes an eternity to finish dripping. Is there a life span on coffeemakers? This one is about 2 1/2 years old. Do they make a high speed coffee dripper?
Well must get dressed, don't want to drive the prince to work in my jammies. Happy Weekend to all.
You are such a smart ass......but I love your thoughts on the birds. Yes coffeemakers have a lifespan - even with vinegar depending on the sort of water you have crud builds up and makes it work slower. I could send you my Black and Decker Carafe coffeemaker but I think it might cost more to ship than to buy a new one. If you only drink a cup at a time - I love the pod coffeemakers - and at home I make my own pods using the small coffee filters so it doesn't cost more than regular coffee, really.
ReplyDeleteTell Nevy good luck - and glad you let up on the practices - those bleeding fingers weren't going to look good in the video unless she was playing Bloody Sunday (I don't think that cut is on GHIII anyhow)
I noticed those "early birds" in Scotland, starting about 3:15 a.m. That was alternately annoying and heartwarming. :-)
ReplyDeleteSince I don't drink coffee, I don't pay much attention to coffee maker lifespans. It does seem like there are many coffeemakers that were not designed to last very long.
Best wishes and "break a leg" to Nevada -- I hope she forgets her nerves and has a really good time on stage. Yeay!
hee hee hee
ReplyDeleteThanks, now you've replaced one song with another in my head.
The roosters over here have no sense of time. They crow waaaaaay before the sun is even thinking about peeking over the horizon. I am now in the habit of keeping ear plugs next to my bed. Dumb birds.
I only brew about two cups of coffee a month, so I'm not very knowledgeable with the machines.
I didn't think there was life without coffee - and doubleshame on the Maui dweller since you're so close to the best beans in the universe, sigh.......when I hit the lottery I shall drink nothing but Kona.
ReplyDeletethats the problem with the roosters in maui they aren't drinking enough coffee and its messing them up.
ReplyDeletegood luck nevie. carol, please give her some flesh tone band aids to cover the bloody nubs from all the practice.
ReplyDeleteIt just makes it all the more tasty when I do have a cup. Like when I go to the bake shop during the week - the owner pours me a cup as soon as she sees me walk in. mmmmmm
ReplyDeleteI am the world's biggest AC/DC fan! (shhhhh...amber looks around and makes sure no one is listening...."its great to have sex too!")
ReplyDeleteA fast dripper? Hmmm....that would seem to defeat the purpose of filtered coffee...it was a fast drip it would be drained coffee!
AC/DC.. what a great Aussie band!
ReplyDeleteSo coffee makers are the opposite of men hey. If a coffee maker's too slow you want it to go faster!
If a man's too fast... well, maybe they've been drinking too much vinegar!
