know before you grow

Yup, it sure looks like a magnificent plant doesn't it.  Old hairball and I were smiling and patting ourselves on the back with our impressive green thumbs.  We are the champion gardeners.  Last spring while driving down to the river we seen these smaller version species.  We pulled over and with our ever trusty travelling shovel brought a few of these baby's home, in Nevada's old baby bath.(wouldn't want to soil the carpet in the van).

In the past week we have been having showings.  Everyone oohs and aahhs collectively admiring our Hagrid.  We all have been trying to guess what species it is.  Well the gardening bubble has burst.

No one has been harmed yet and we didn't cause anyone death or permanent scarring or blindness.  Question is now,  How are we going to get rid of it?

  2. I am not sure what we are going to do. We just found out last night what the plant is. A friend of ours forwarded the youtube clip and he didn't even know we had the plant. Lucky for us we opened the attachment. I am so glad Nevada didn't get any sap on her when I made her pose with it.

  3. I just emailed you - I'd spray it with Roundup and then put the biggest plastic bag you can find over it so no one touches it while you are waiting for it to die. That's assuming the local government won't remove it for you.

  4. Can Carol be turned in for child endangerment for having Nevada pose with it? Seriously, that sucker needs to be sprayed with roundup and if that doesn't work, try pouring some salt around it.

  5. The flowers look like something that grows here, but certanly isnt dangerous. i thought that was what you were going to show us, until i saw how big it was. or maybe that you accidently nurtured a wild pot plant. i would definatly call the people up there that are getting rid of them and put some of that yellow caution tape around the thing. that is after you suit up in your white hazmat duds.
