1. There was a stabbing murder this past weekend at the lake by our place. We have gone to this lake since I was a kid and it's always been a beautiful peaceful family place. There are numerous beaches and glorious mountain scenery. Two groups of teens with a disagreement, back when we were teens we would have just pushed the othe guy off the wharf and that would be the end. Why does every confrontation now have to esculate into violence.
2.Back east in Canada they let a teen girl get 18 months in a juvenile facility and 6 months probation. The poor dear all she did was beat another girl unconscience and then set her on fire. What kind of punishment is that?
3.It's not that the gas is high enough here now our provincial government in adding an extra gas tax on top of what we allready pay? I'm guessing he gets a fuel allowance in his paycheck.
4.It's been cold and rainy here for the last couple days, what happened to the record breaking heat of the weekend? On the plus side of the cool wet is the plants I moved will have time to adjust to their new home.
Phew, it's amazing just typing out wtf has released the anger and now I am in Zen mood. I will just sit here and sip my morning coffee and think about what I can do today. Last night I made Patricia's crispy cheese potatos and they were most yummy. The kids loved them and there wasnt' a single one left over.
The river behind our house is up to the first step, some of you that read my blog last year might remember that we went up to step 14. There are 20 steps in all and then its time to head to higher ground. Well must go wake said middle child up, school ya know....
OMG...WTF is right! I just dont know what has happened to our teens these days! It really saddens me to hear all these stories, especially since I have children myself.
ReplyDeleteAnother gas tax??? Geesh! (Lu shakes her head in sympathy) I say check his pockets at the end of the day and there you will find the monies from the new tax. UGH!
Good luck on the plants, I am starting to get mine in the ground from there peet pots, but like you said with the weather being wonky ya just never know how they will take.
WOW...step 14 out of 20?? And it's already up to #4? Good luck my friend. I will say prayers for ya. :)

Sounds like it's almost time for you to flee Canada again!
ReplyDelete1. Well, at least it wasn't a shooting!
ReplyDelete2.WTF is right! What kind of justice is that!
3. Don't even get me started on fuel prices. The UK is expecting gas to go up to £2.00 a liter soon....that will be $16.50 a gallon!
4.Hard getting used to the cold climate...missing the beach..ugh? ugh?
You live next to a river..hmmm...hope you have flood insurance!
Dead is dead
ReplyDelete1. well dead is dead
ReplyDeleteYou got me on that one!
ReplyDeleteROFLMAO at dead is dead (though I know it's inappropriate for me to laugh).
ReplyDeleteCarol - if you pushed the guy off the wharf he used to cool off - nowadays he comes back more pissed off then ever. Kids are impulsive anyhow - and I do believe that the violence we see on TV and read about on the news kind of numbs them to it all. And of course, they have no idea that it HURTS. Remember the thing about letting a child feel a hot stove to make them realize Ouch - don't touch this? I'm not saying we ought to stab our kids.....but maybe take them to see people who have been permanently injured by violence or something like that.
When something happens to change the scene of a childhood memory, it can never be the same. You may go years without ever having another violent act at the beach, but you know it happened and that is all it takes. I get this WTF! i may have to do this once in a while just to releive some of the stuff that makes me go WTF
